Bram Callewier

Bram Callewier (22) is Junior Managing Partner at the Beltrami Group, a European wholesaler and producer of natural stone.

By combining study and work at the same time Bram has set a remarkable business record at the age of 22. In 2005 he began managing the company’s websites & e-marketing while graduating in History & Management at the Catholic University of Leuven (2005-2009). From 2008 until September 2009 Bram successfully managed the implementation of the ERP software Dynamics AX 4.0 into the company’s processes and facilitated the change management that was required during the time of implementation.

In 2007 Bram introduced CSR-policies into the company, fully supported by his father, the CEO and founder of Beltrami. By forming an internal workgroup, Bram managed to get the involvement of employees inside the company from the ground upwards. Fuelled by their ideas, the workgroup began investigating topics such as reducing environmental impact, creating an excellent job atmosphere and improving sustainability along the extensive supply chain. In 2008 Bram introduced Beltrami into the Dutch Workgroup for Sustainable Natural stone (WGDN). In a pioneering move, Bram actively committed the Beltrami group to strive towards the ideal of sustainable natural stone.

Currently, Bram is heavily involved in the progress that is being made on sustainable natural stone. Alongside managing his own small start-up company together with his brother - 'Stoneasy.com' - and accomplishing another MA degree in Paris/London, he is one of the dynamic forces behind the Dutch Workgroup working towards engaging other natural stone importers into the idea of sustainable sourcing.
