We recommend that all congress participants use public transport. The Philharmonie is only a 10 minute walk from Haarlem's central train station.
Public Transport
From Haarlem’s central train station, it takes 10 minutes to walk to the Philharmonie. From Stationsplein (city centre side) walk towards Grote Markt via Jansweg. When you reach the end of Jansweg, you will see the Philharmonie on the left opposite St. Bavo Church.

By car from The Hague / Amstelveen / Schiphol (A9)
Take exit Haarlem (NOT exit Haarlem Zuid). At the end of the exit you will arrive at a roundabout (junction Rottepolderplein). Take the third exit road.
You will now be on the A200 (Amsterdam-Haarlem). See continued route description below for further instructions.
From Beverwijk / Zaandam / Alkmaar (A9)
Take exit Haarlem. At the end of the exit you will arrive at a roundabout (junction Rottepolderplein). Take the first exit road right. You will now be on the A200 (Amsterdam-Haarlem). See continued route description below for further instructions.
From Amsterdam (A200)
Follow the A200 towards Haarlem until you reach the end.
Continued route description
Turn right at the traffic lights at the Amsterdamspoort, and then turn left at the next set of traffic lights. Continue on this road until you cross the river Spaarne (bridge). Turn left at the T-junction and follow the river Spaarne.
Soon after you pass Teylers Museum, turn right into car park the Appelaar.
Parking
There is only paid parking in the centre of Haarlem. The municipal car park the Appelaar next to the Philharmonie is open 24 hours a day. There are also two other public parking lots within walking distance, namely the Station and the Kamp. You can find more information on car parks and parking rates in Haarlem at www.haarlem.nl.
